Community Services colleagues achieve prestigious Queen’s Nurse title

This year, our Community Group has had a large number of successful Queen’s Nursing Programme applicants who have now been recognised for their high level of commitment to nursing practice and delivery of patient care in the community.

The Queen’s Nursing Institute is the oldest professional nursing organisation in the UK and is believed to be the oldest nursing charity in the world (certified by Guinness World Records in 2019).

Being awarded the title of a Queen’s Nurse enables nurses to come together to develop their professional skills and deliver outstanding patient care by learning and sharing with others across the country.

The successful applicants are invited to an awards ceremony in London, where they are presented with a certificate and a Queen’s Nursing Institute badge to celebrate their achievement.

Professional Lead for Nursing, Nikki Wise, said:

“A huge well done to all colleagues on this incredible achievement. They now join a number of other Queen’s Nurses in our Community Group. We look forward to all the new opportunities this will bring us, starting with the Queen’s Nursing annual conference on the 7th to the 10th October, where the focus this year is on empowering the community workforce.”
