Kate Freeman, General Practice Nurse

I love that no two days are the same, supporting patients from birth to end of life.

I may see a lady for a smear, her child for immunisations and her elderly relative for diabetes. I really enjoy diabetes, helping to make a difference to patients throughout their diabetes journey.

I have developed my career at my own pace, within 5 years of qualifying as an adult nurse, I have completed various qualifications and recently non medical prescribing, which really helps with my clinics. I am also developing a portfolio career, and have a second role supporting nurse training and development. Many practice nurses have a portfolio career.
