Graham’s Story

Whilst attending an employability course here at UHCW Graham received practical work experience in our theatres.

On completion he was successfully recruited as a Healthcare Support Worker. Recognising his potential, Grahams
department encouraged him to apply for a Nursing Associate apprenticeship. After two years of working and learning on the job, to gain a Nursing Associate Foundation Degree, he took up the post of Nursing Associate Scrub Practitioner in UHCW Theatres. Graham says:

"The nursing associate apprenticeship was challenging, but helped to make me increase my knowledge base and clinical skills, allowing me to progress further in my career".
