Your Social Care Career Here
Within Coventry and Warwickshire we have 28,000 colleagues working for local authorities, independent care homes, assisted living and home care organisations. Our colleagues work together with health and other services such as housing and education to support people to live well in their communities, boosting independence and helping people to live well in their homes, wherever that home may be. Support can be physical, emotional or social support.
Working in Social Care
If you work in social care, you could help people in their own homes, in residential homes or places such as day centres or supported housing. It is predicted that more and more people will need support from the social care sector as we see more people with a disability living longer and a growing older population. Given the range of people we support and the many different settings in which people live, there are many different professional and support roles you could choose as your future career path. What is common to all roles is having the right values and behaviours, wanting to work with people who need care and support.
