This section is for Allied Health Professionals who are considering returning to practice after a break. Across Coventry and Warwickshire, each organisation offers its own return to practice process and support. This page brings together key information and signposts to help you take your next steps.
What is return to practice?
Return to practice is for AHPs who have previously been registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and want to return to professional practice after time away.
This may include people who:
- Have taken a career break
- Have been working outside of their profession
- Are returning after time away for personal reasons
- Need to meet HCPC requirements to re join the register
Return to practice programmes are designed to help you update your knowledge and skills, rebuild confidence and safely return to work.
We are fortunate that Coventry University offers a dedicated Return to Practice course, providing structured learning and support for professionals returning to the workforce.
