Coventry and Warwickshire Maternity & neonatal Voices Partnership

Coventry and Warwickshire's Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership ensure the views, experiences and ideas of local mothers and birthing people contribute to the development of local maternity care by collecting feedback and sharing information.

What is a Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership?

Maternity Voices Partnerships, sometimes called MNVPs, are NHS independently-lead local working groups made up of women and their families, midwives, doctors and other health professionals working together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care.

The Coventry and Warwickshire MNVP is part of this national initiative; we listen to and engage with local maternity services, and feed this back to providers and commissioners. The group invites feedback from service users and their families at any time, and often after birth when there has been time to reflect.

The MNVP advocates to include the service user’s experience at all levels of designing, planning, and delivering services. This is in line with the Better Births Report recommendation that MVPs work within the local neonatal and maternity systems to co-produce services.

The Chair of Coventry and Warwickshire MNVP is Jessica Weeks - jessica.weeks2@nhs.net.

Jessica is an engineer by background working for a local authority as well as running Hannah’s House, a charity supporting parents and their children through any kind of baby loss. She has four children, one of which is in heaven. Jessica has come with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Jessica is supported by a core team, a Vice-Chair, a neonatal champion, a champion for each place area Coventry, Rugby, North Warwickshire, and South Warwickshire.
