Community Research Champion - role information
Why is the Community Research Champion (CRC) role important?
Currently, people who take part in research do not always reflect the wider population or those who are most affected by the condition or situation. This means that results from research might not show how different groups respond, for example to new treatments or interventions.
By improving engagement about research with different communities, we are hoping that health and social care research better reflects the needs of these communities and tackles health inequalities.
Who is a CRC?
CRCs are people who are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in their community, health equality and promoting the voices of others. They are also well-connected and active members of their community.

- Co-create activities, events and resources to engage with the community about research in the best and most appropriate way
- Attend the events you have been involved in co-creating
What qualifications or experience do I need to be a CRC?
