This page brings together everything you need to know about the health and care services available in North Warwickshire, from GP surgeries and pharmacies to mental health support, social care and hospital services.
North Warwickshire is served by four primary care networks (PCNs): North Arden, Apollo, Nuneaton & Bedworth and Rural Warwickshire North. PCNs allow local GP surgeries to collaborate, providing patients with access to expanded care teams like clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, and social prescribers.
North Arden PCN serves the Atherstone and Arley areas, covering approximately 34,000 patients. It includes The Atherstone Surgery, Station Street Surgery and Spring Hill Medical Centre. For more information about the PCN, click here.
Apollo PCN, formed in 2025, serves approximately 30,000 patients across northern and western parts of the borough. Their extended access hub is located at Hartshill Health Centre. Nuneaton & Bedworth PCN is a larger network of collaboration that serves the more densely populated areas with a group of 11 member practices. It includes Arbury Medical Centre, Bedworth Health Centre, Bulkington Surgery, Chapel End Surgery, Manor Court Surgery, Old Hill Surgery, Queen’s Road Surgery, Red Roofs Surgery, Riversley Road Surgery, The Cole House and The Grange Medical Centre. Rural Warwickshire North PCN supports the northern rural corridor of Warwickshire, serving geographically diverse village communities and expanding local populations. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) provide a wide range of mental health, learning disability, autism and children’s services for people in North Warwickshire.
Services available include:
- Adults and older adults’ mental health services – Personalised support for conditions such as depression, anxiety and dementia, including assessment, treatment and ongoing care.
- Adult learning disability and autism services – Specialist healthcare, therapies and support to help adults live healthy, independent and fulfilling lives.
- Children and young people’s services – Support for mental health, neurodevelopmental needs, learning disabilities and physical health conditions. Teams work closely with families, carers and professionals to help children thrive.

Social care in North Warwickshire is provided by Warwickshire County Council and delivered through a mix of organisations for both children and adults.
Adult Social Care provides support for older people, people with disabilities, long-term illness or mental health issues and their carers.
Services provided include personal care (washing, dressing), reablement services (regaining independence after illness), social activities and help with household tasks.
All adults are entitled to a free needs assessment to determine eligibility for support and carers can also receive a carer’s assessment.

Children’s Social Care services focus on safeguarding and supporting children, young people and their families.
Services provided include support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), early help, family support workers, and access to children and family centres.
The Family Connect service brings together Children’s Social Care, information and advice and other support organisations including Warwickshire Police and the NHS to help safeguard children, young people and families.

Founded in 1948, George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides a wide range of acute and community healthcare services to a population of more than 300,000 people across North Warwickshire, South West Leicestershire, and North Coventry.
Based on the outskirts of Nuneaton, the Trust delivers elective and emergency care alongside specialist surgical, medical, women’s, maternity, children’s, diagnostic, therapeutic and cancer services. In addition to its hospital-based care, the Trust provides a broad range of community services across Coventry, Warwickshire and Leicestershire, including sexual health and community dentistry services for the whole of Warwickshire, as well as hosting the Blue Sky Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
