William Butler

Bill is an experienced Chair, Executive and Non-Executive Director and currently also sits on the board of The Law Society, where he chairs the Finance and Investment Committee and sits on the Group Audit Committee. He has also been a board member GPDF Ltd, and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority. He has extensive experience of regulation and strategy, policy and operational delivery having previously been chief executive of the Security Industry Authority and a director at the Gambling, Healthcare and Audit Commissions. He has been an accountant since 1982 and was admitted as a Chartered Security Professional in 2014.
Bill was born and lives in Coventry and is an active member of the Coventry Stroke Support Group.
