ICB Shadow Board

Coventry & Warwickshire Health and Care Partnership is transitioning to become an Integrated Care System (ICS) on 1 July 2022 to better join up health and care services, improve population health and reduce health inequalities. 

Current proposals mean that each ICS will be led by an NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB), an organisation with responsibility for NHS functions and budgets, and an Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), a statutory committee bringing together all system partners to produce a health and care strategy.

When we become an ICS, the ICB will take on the NHS planning functions previously held by Coventry & Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group. The ICB will operate in shadow form until it becomes a statutory organisation on 1 July 2022.
