Year of Wellbeing: Primary School to host Inclusive Sports Festival

Howes Primary School in Coventry is to host a festival packed with a whole range of sporting action for kids.

The free event is aimed at children aged 3-14 who currently feel they miss out on opportunities for any reason.

The Cheylesmore school is hosting organisations including Sky Blues in the Community, Warwickshire County Cricket Board, Sport England and Team GB Volleyball, all in a bid to showcase options available now to get more children more physically active.

Activities include boccia, tennis, football, touch rugby, softball cricket, wheelchair basketball, table top cricket and more!

Explained Deputy Head, Rebecca Bollands: "It promises to be very busy! Throughout the school day we have invited around 200 schoolchildren to come and try out these activities, and then from 3.30-6pm the event is open to any families who just want to come along and try out a few new things."
