REGION’S CELEBS SAY ‘THANK YOU’ TO OUR PARTNER WORKFORCES

Famous faces from around the Midlands have made a brilliant ‘Thank You’ video in tribute to everyone working to protect and support our communities during the COVID-19 crisis.

Around a dozen celebs and sports stars issue heartfelt lockdown ‘selfie’ messages in the film which has been posted on YouTube.

Among those who took part include Coventry City manager Mark Robins; former BBC Coventry & Warwickshire radio personality – now BBC Hereford & Worcester presenter – Malcolm Boyden; comedy legend Jasper Carrot; and Midlands-born singing star Beverley Knight.

They add their voices to celebrities’ from further afield in the Midlands region such as Strictly Come Dancing’s Ben Cohen and Kristina Rihanoff; soap star Charlie Clapham and former England footballer Steve Bull.

Coventry & Warwickshire Heath & Care Partnership spokesman Simon Wright said: “It’s fantastic that some of our region’s most well-known names have taken the time to say thank you in this way to everyone involved in the fight against COVID-19. Everyone who works for all of our partner organisations – the NHS and local authorities – are out there on the frontline every day helping and supporting the communities we serve. They are all doing an awesome job and I hope this video gives them all the lift they deserve.”
