Rachael Danter, Programme DirectorA new Programme Director is leading the team that is helping NHS organisations and local authorities in Coventry and Warwickshire to deliver joined-up health and social care for all their communities.

Rachael Danter has joined the Better Health, Better Care, Better Value (Coventry and Warwickshire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership) programme team.

Rachael currently works as the Coventry and Warwickshire Locality Director for NHS England (NHSE). She worked in the NHS for 18 years at Executive Director level and having completed the successful merger of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, she left the NHS and joined Circle Health, an innovative private healthcare provider. Rachael worked for Circle for 10 years, leaving as the national Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for three hospitals and the oversight of the musculoskeletal service nationally.

Rachael commented: “This is a really exciting time for health and social care organisations across Coventry and Warwickshire. There is now a real commitment to providing joined-up care wherever possible through the integration of both health and social care commissioning and provision. The aim is for all partner organisations to work together to deliver high-quality care which supports all our communities to live well, stay independent and enjoy life. This is a great ambition and I am proud to join the other leaders across the partnership in delivering this.”

Andy Hardy, Chair of the Better Health, Better Care, Better Value programme, said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Rachael to the programme team. The partner organisations are looking forward to working with her to help all our communities stay well for longer.”

Rachael lives in Warwickshire and is kept busy looking after four children, four dogs, two cats and four deer. When she has any spare time, she loves running, walking, cooking and playing the saxophone.
