Introducing C&W's new Personalised Care Ambassador

Jo Taylor has been appointed to the role of Personalised Care Ambassador for Coventry & Warwickshire. Here she explains her role, and her passion for person-centred care.

"I have a background working in NHS trusts, and am fully committed to the health inequalities agenda. I am passionate about education, health and wellbeing, and the importance of fully understanding the needs of our patients.  I have worked for South Warwickshire GP Federation for 18 months embedding personalised care across workforces and engaging with regional and national initiatives.

Alongside personalised care, I work in higher education and through my work as a leadership coach, I fully believe in enabling individuals to unlock their true potential.

The Personalised Care Ambassador focuses on ICB and HEE requirements for ARRS* Personalised Care roles in primary care. My role involves listening to staff and patients, providing support, networking opportunities, and facilitating interactive sessions to continue building our own knowledge, confidence and skills. I liaise across organisations to embed understanding and best practice, raise the profile of personalised care, and celebrate successes. I am excited to engage with staff collaboratively to gain insight and share ideas to continue to move personalised care forward, whilst building on evidencing the wonderful outcomes that are impacting lives each and every day.

I firmly believe that personalised care is crucial to enabling people to live a happy and healthy life whilst addressing challenges that we face as a society. I very much look forward to meeting up, working with everyone in the near future and continuing to strenthen our personalised care community.
