The Coventry and Warwickshire Research Engagement Network (REN) was formed in November 2023 and aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of health research by increasing the involvement of under-served communities, as well as building relationships with local communities to increase trust and understanding of research and it’s aims and benefits.
Health-related research is vital in improving health outcomes and helping people live better for longer. It can help to prevent conditions developing by helping to understand the associated risk factors and causes, as well as help the treatment of conditions by improving early diagnosis, discovering new treatments and improving existing ones, and improving access to healthcare.
Events such as this play a crucial role in improving the understanding and delivery of research projects across Coventry and Warwickshire, which will help us improve health outcomes of our local communities now and in the future.
