CHAIR APPOINTED FOR ICB CLUSTER IN THE WEST MIDLANDS

Crishni Waring, currently Chair of Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB, will Chair the newly formed ICB Cluster, as Chair of both NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB and NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB. This Cluster will be responsible for planning, purchasing and overseeing NHS services for nearly 2 million people across the combined localities.
Crishni has significant experience of leadership at senior level. In addition to chairing the Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB since its establishment, she has many years of experience as a Chair of Community and Mental Health Trusts in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. She also has local knowledge of Coventry and Warwickshire, having lived and worked in the area over many years including as a Non-Executive Director at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.
With a focus on improving our workforce, Crishni chairs the NHS Midlands Regional People Board, which oversees the implementation of the People Plan in the Midlands Region and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Commenting on her new appointment, she said:
“I am excited to begin working with Coventry and Warwickshire ICB, an area I have strong ties to. Bringing them together with Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB puts us all in a stronger position to face the challenges ahead, shifting care from hospital to community, analogue to digital, and treatment to prevention.
"By working with our staff, partners and communities, we can improve the health of our population across a wider area while ensuring the best value for money in how we operate. I’m looking forward to getting started.”
Crishni will take on the joint role from October 1st. Danielle Oum, the current Chair of Coventry and Warwickshire ICB will be moving to Chair the new Black Country, Birmingham and Solihull Cluster. The Board of NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB want to thank Danielle for her work, shaping the Coventry and Warwickshire system and working with partners across the area to ensure we remain focused on our vision help people start well, live well and age well, promoting independence and putting people at the heart of everything we do.
