An 83-year-old man has become the very first patient at Warwickshire North’s pilot Frailty Hub Clinic. Gerald Spencer and his wife were met with an ovation from a range of health and social care staff as they entered the doors of Hazelwood Practice.

More than four million people in the Midlands can book their life-saving autumn Covid vaccine online from today (18 September) as the NHS steps up its winter vaccination programmes early in response to the risk of the new Covid variant. 

Residents of older adult care homes and people who are housebound will begin receiving their covid and flu vaccinations from today, as the NHS kickstarts the winter vaccinations campaign.

Continued improvements are being made in Warwickshire to enhance support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

More than 550 Midlands community pharmacies are now able to offer oral contraception to local people who have previously been prescribed by a GP.
