OUR PARTNER'S FRONTLINE CLINICAL TEAMS MAKE A SPLASH WITH 'GET WELL SOON' MESSAGE FOR PM BORIS

Frontline medical staff at our partner George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust sent a get well soon message to Prime Minister Boris Johnson - which made it onto the front page of TWO national newspapers.

The doctors and nurses caring for COVID19 patients at the Nuneaton hospital gathered in their Personal Protective Equipment and held up hand-written letters spelling out their best wishes to Boris, currently in intensive care with the virus himself.

The brilliant picture was published on the front of The Times beneath the headline: ‘Britain Sends Message of Hope to Battling Johnson’.

It was also picked up by a host of national news outlets, including BBC Breakfast and the front page of The Express newspaper, and helped rally the country behind the government’s continuing fight against the outbreak.

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust Chief Executive Glen Burley said: “It’s great to see our Nason Ward team backing Boris at this difficult time and doing it in such a positive and collective way. It’s only a few months since the PM thanked us in Parliament, so for our staff to get a message back to him in this way is amazing. They demonstrated our values to the core and they could not have promoted the hospital and our staff in a better way. I am always impressed by the compassion that I see every day and they have taken this to new levels.”
