CONFERENCE SUCCESS FOR AHPS

AHP conference in Coventry and WarwickshireOver 120 Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) from across the health and care system attended Coventry and Warwickshire’s inaugural AHP conference on October 2.

The packed conference was organised to bring together and celebrate the 14 different AHP professions ahead of National AHP Day on October 14.

There was real energy in the room as local and national speakers a range of topics including AHPs role in prevention and how to make every contact count, professional leadership and how AHPs can work together to improve care for local people.

An important part of the event was the opportunities to network with colleagues from other local organisations and learn from 30+ poster displays about solutions to problems, new ideas and best practice happening across Coventry and Warwickshire.

It was a fantastic event and the team behind it are already thinking about how to make next year’s even bigger and better, so watch this space. In the meantime they will be using event feedback to inform the design of a system wide AHP strategy, its wider communication and embedding.
