How We Involve People
Keeping local people and communities at the heart of everything we do is vital to us as an organisation. We work with patients, carers, stakeholders, staff and our wider population to enable them to be involved at every stage of our work, from planning and developing services to evaluating them and making sure that they are delivering the right things for the diverse population.
The insights and diverse thinking of local people and communities are essential to enabling us to tackle health inequalities and the other challenges faced by health and care systems and the creation of statutory ICS arrangements brings fresh opportunities to strengthen our work across the area.
The partner organisations of the ICS have worked together to develop a first draft of a "People and Communities" strategy, building on what we already know, and outlining how we can better work together to put people at the heart of everything we do. This document is a starting point and our next step will be to work with local communities to test our thinking and develop the strategy and next steps.
