National
- National Digital Weight Management Programme supports adults living with obesity who also have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension or both, to manage their weight and improve their health. It is a 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme that people can access via a smartphone or computer with internet access
- National Diabetes Prevention Programme will provide participants with the skill and knowledge on how to make healthy changes to their nutrition in a way that they enjoy and without restricting any foods. Furthermore, how to build healthy habits that make it easy to stick to the changes they make long term.
Coventry based
- Healthy Lifestyles Services offers a flexible 12 week programme which includes: motivational weight management support from a health coach in person, or via telephone or via the Best You app, weigh-ins at community venues, 1-2-1 and group support, “self help” support, practical advice such as weight tracking, budget friendly recipes and supermarket offers, and support to become more physically active, stop smoking or drink less (if needed).
- Community Dietetics employ a range of techniques to advise individuals on their nutrition needs. This starts with an individualised assessment and may include tips from tweaking your food choices.
Warwickshire based
- Fitter Futures Warwickshire provides 12 weeks of free weight management support for those meeting specific eligibility criteria. Weekly group sessions help people learn about healthy eating, portion size, healthy swaps, eating healthily on a budget and meal planning. There is an option to go on Everyone Health’s weight management programme, which includes 45 minutes focused on nutrition and 45 minutes of physical activity per session, or Slimming World’s programme, which includes motivating group sessions and exclusive members only access to the website and app.

For both Coventry and Warwickshire:
- Tier 3 and Tier 4 Specialist Weight Management support patients with a BMI of 40 or above, or a BMI of 35 and above with weight related co-morbidities, or patients from a South Asian Background with a BMI of 35 or above. This is a true multidisciplinary service involving endocrinologists, bariatric surgeons, dieticians, and psychologists. Patients can benefit from a range of interventions to support weight loss. One of the options only available through this pathway is bariatric surgery.
- NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission (T2DR) provides patient choice of an in-person or digital coached one-to-one service over 12 months, including 12 weeks of 800-900 kcal/day formula diet. The service aims to promote weight loss in patients that are overweight and recently diagnosed (within last 6 years) with Type 2 diabetes, achieving remission when possible. On average participants lose 10-15% of their starting weight. Many participants also stop or reduce diabetes and other medications and also say they feel healthier and happier. The service is free and requires a referrals from a health care professional.
