Health Inequalities innovation fund

Funding for projects through the Health Inequalities Innovation Fund has changed from October 2023. Responsibility for development of project proposals has now moved to the Care Collaboratives, with oversight from the ICB HI Investment Panel and ICB Executive Group. 

If you are interested in developing a proposal, please contact a representative from either Coventry Care Collaborative or Warwickshire Care Collaborative to have an initial discussion. If you do not know who to contact, please email cwicb.healthinequalities@nhs.net and one of the Programme Managers will be able to advise you.

Projects seeking funding must still focus on the Core20plus5 priorities and be submitted on the template document here. Proposals can no longer be submitted directly to the Investment Panel for consideration.

***Please note that as we head towards the end of the financial year, we will not now be allocating further new funding for projects in 2023/24 from the Health Inequalities Innovation Fund. All projects which have been approved through the Health Inequalities Investment Panel will continue as agreed.  

We are actively encouraging bids for the next financial year however, and intend to use the next panel, 11th January 2024, to assess the first tranche of those bids for projects ready to start in 2024/25. Proposals must be submitted by 29th December 2023 to be considered at the next panel, and in accordance with the agreed process as outlined above***
