Madi Parmar has been CFO and member of the board at C&W ICB since July 2022 working closely with system partners from across health and social care in Coventry and Warwickshire to develop the finance and investment strategy for the system to ensure effective use of system capital and revenue resources.  

Madi was previously Deputy CFO at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, managing a turnover in excess of £1.8bn and has over 29 years of NHS Finance experience working in a number of large, complex organisations and managing significant organisational change including the design and building of the new Queen Elizabeth hospital, implementing a multi hospital site merger and many service specific developments working across traditional organisational boundaries. Madi has special interests in operational financial management, performance management, contracting, and costing and payment models and has for many years been an active HFMA advisory committee member in this area.

As the Trust lead for income and contracting for many years, Madi gained an established reputation as an effective negotiator delivering successful outcomes on an array of NHS, Ministry of Defence, Local Authority and commercial partner agreements and multi-partner transformation projects such as the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine and the Birmingham Early Intervention project to improve services for older people. In 2021/22, Madi took a lead role in the wider Birmingham and Solihull health system leading the financial and activity planning for the post Covid Elective recovery programme and related capacity expansion bids leading to award of c£17m of capital funding and c£27m of revenue support.
